Offered Sessions

General Taxation in the Maldives

These sessions are intended to give a general overview of taxation and the taxes currently being implemented in the Maldives.

General Goods and Services Tax (G-GST)

G-GST sessions are designed for taxpayers in the general sector and cover areas such as registration, calculation of tax, recordkeeping, tax payment deadlines as well as changes brought to the regulation through tax rulings.

Tourism Goods and Services Tax (T-GST)

T-GST sessions are designed for taxpayers in the tourism sector and cover areas such as registration, calculation of tax, recordkeeping, tax payment deadlines as well as changes brought to the regulation through tax rulings.

BPT

BPT sessions cover areas such as registration, recordkeeping, calculation of tax, payment deadlines, how to fill in the BPT Return as well as changes brought to the regulation through tax rulings.

WHT

WHT sessions focus on the payments which are subject to WHT as well as common scenarios in which WHT would be applicable.

GST Return workshop

The purpose of these sessions is to provide both T-GST and G-GST taxpayers information on how to fill the GST Return. The session also includes a GST Return filling exercise.

Computation of BPT and filing BPT Return

The purpose of these sessions is to provide information to taxpayers on how to fill the BPT Return. The session also includes a BPT Return filling exercise.

Offences and Penalties

These sessions cover the offences and penalties related to GST and BPT.
