MIRA donates MVR 60,000/- towards bringing a specialized therapist, for the first time, to Care Society

MIRA donates MVR 60,000/- towards bringing a specialized therapist, for the first time, to Care Society. According to MIRA, this is part of the various CSR activities carried out every year.

At the event held today, the money was officially handed over to the children of Care Society. The Commissioner General of Taxation, Yazeed Mohamed, Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation, Hassan Zareer, and the Senior Management of MIRA participated in this event. The Executive Director of Care Society Naushan Muhaimin and several staff of Care Society also participated in this event.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner General of Taxation discussed the importance given by MIRA staff towards such social responsibilities and the fact that these events are organized and funded personally by the staff of MIRA and that MIRA will continue to carry out such CSR activities every year. It was also noted that MIRA’s budget was not used to fund this activity and that he hoped that more organizations take these initiatives by MIRA staff as an example and increase their participation in such activities in the future.

Also speaking at the event, Executive Director of Care Society Naushan Muhaimin emphasized on the importance of the donation which will enable them to provide therapy sessions to their children from a specialized therapist for the first time and thanked the staff of MIRA for their contribution. Also, she noted that such donations are very important to organizations such as care society and that they hoped to work again with MIRA in the future.
