MIRA employees donated essential goods to the children of Fiyavathi

The employees of MIRA donated essential goods worth more than MVR 50,000 to Fiyavathi. According to MIRA, this donation event is an annual CSR event held by the staff of MIRA.

At the event held this evening, various essential items identified by Fiyavathi were officially handed over.  In addition to staff spending time interacting with the children and playing games, evening tea was served to the staff and children of Fiyavathi. The Commissioner General of Taxation Yazeed Mohamed, Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation Hassan Zareer, MIRA’s senior Management, a large number of staff from MIRA participated in this event. From Fiyavathi, Director Ahmed Imad, Deputy Director Mohamed Shafeeq and several staff of Fiyavathi participated in this event.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner General of Taxation noted that this event was organized by the staff of MIRA and that such activities are funded personally by the staff of MIRA.  He also stated that MIRA will continue carrying out such activities needed for the community’s’ wellbeing. The Commissioner General also thanked the staff of Fiyavathi for the hard work done by them to ensure that these children are responsible citizens of the country. Also speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Fiyavathi Mohamed Shafeeq noted that MIRA has set an example to all other organizations by involvement in community and by service to the community and that he hoped other institutions will follow MIRA’s example and carry out such activities in the future.
