MIRA collects MVR 1.03 billion as revenue in October

MIRA collected MVR 1.03 billion in October 2018. This amount is 9.6% more than the amount forecasted for October 2018 and 3.9% higher than the revenue collected in October 2017.

The reason for the increase in revenue collected is because of the increment of collection from GST, Land Acquisition and Conversion fee and Construction Period Extension Fee.

The greatest share of the revenue collected for October 2018 was from GST with MVR 636.93 million or 61.7% of total revenue. The second largest contributor was BPT (MVR 59.94 million or 5.8%). Other significant contributors include Green Tax (MVR 56.77 million or 5.5%), Tourism Land Rent (MVR 46.32 million or 4.5%), Airport Development Fee (MVR 43.18 million or 4.2%) and other taxes and fees (MVR 188.71 or 18.3%).

Out of the revenue collected in October 2018, USD 38.5 million constitutes the dollar collection.
