MIRA collects MVR 1.3 billion as revenue in September

MIRA collected MVR 1.3 billion in September 2018. This amount is 25.9% higher than the revenue collected in September 2017.

The reason for the increase in revenue collected compared to last year is because of the increment of collection from Tourism Land Rent, Land Acquisition and Conversion fee and GGST.

The greatest share of the revenue collected for September 2018 was from GST with MVR 507.83 million or 39.9% of total revenue. The second largest contributor was Tourism Land Rent (MVR 326.77 million or 25.7%). Other significant contributors include Land Acquisition and Conversion Fee (MVR 82.36 million or 6.5%), Green Tax (MVR 63.12 million or 5.0%), Airport Service Charge (MVR 61.10 million or 4.8%) and other taxes and fees (MVR 231.18 or 18.2%).
