Collected revenue until end of November is MVR 12 Billion

MIRA has collected MVR 12 Billion as revenue this year from January to November. This is 14.7% more than the amount collected in the first 11 months of 2014.

Majority of the revenue collected until November comprises of GST contributed, with 46.1% of the total revenue. It is followed by BPT at 21.6%. Therefore, two third of the revenue collected until November comprises of GST and BPT.

MIRA has collected MVR 833.2 Million as revenue in November 2015. This is 4.7% more than the amount collected in November 2014. The main reason for this is the increase in the collection of TGST by 32.7% due to the increased TGST rate to 12%. However, it is 7.6% lower than the forecasted amount for November 2015. Reason being, actual Lease Period Extension Fee collection lower than forecasted and decrease in TGST collection due to reduction in the number of tourist arrivals than forecasted.

GST contributed the most revenue in November 2015, with 56.8% (MVR 473.04 Million) of the total revenue. It is followed by Lease Period Extension Fee at 23.2% (MVR 193.56 Million), BPT at 3.9% (MVR 32.67 Million), Airport Service Charge at 7.0% (MVR 58.42 Million) and Resident Permit at 2.7% (MVR 24.41 Million).

The amount collected in November includes $37.91 Million received in US dollars.
