MIRA staff sponsors ‘SALT’ program of Kudakudhinge Hiyaa

Staff of MIRA also contributed to sponsor the children in ‘Kudakudhinge Hiyaa’ to take part in the ‘SALT’ program for 3 months. SALT program was aimed at developing various skills of the children. Donation to the Hiyaa was an initiative by MIRA, conducted annually as a series, to help the children living in ‘Kudakudhinge Hiyaa’.

‘SALT’ program is organized by the Leadership Academy in collaboration with the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa which commenced on September this year. The program aims to develop different life skills of the children.

A special event was held at ‘Kudakudhinge Hiyaa’ yesterday evening from 16:00 to 18:00 to handover the donation. MIRA staff organized a special tea and a fun filled evening for the children, with various entertaining activities and games. In addition to many of the MIRA staff Commissioner General of Taxation Yazeed Mohamed and Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation Hassan Zareer participated in the event. C.E.O of Kudakudhinge Hiyaa Zeenaaz Adhnaan and many of their staff participated as well.

Speaking at the event, Commissioner General of Taxation stated that such activities are carried out with a huge support from MIRA staff, and with this MIRA club plans a lot of activities valuable to the community. In the speech of the C.E.O of Kudakudhinge Hiyaa Zeenaaz Adhnaan marked MIRA as an exemplary organization in helping the community and due to this sponsorship, children of Hiyaa will be able to develop their skills, learn how to trust one’s self and learn the importance of teamwork. With this, she thanked all MIRA staff for the continuous support given to Kudakudhinge Hiyaa.
