Two defaulting taxpayers ordered to settle their dues to MIRA

Civil court has ordered Global Crown Pvt Ltd and Ibnithasiu Musthafa (Haveeru Ufa, G Dh. Fiyoari) to settle their dues to MIRA. Global Crown Pvt Ltd has been ordered to settle the unpaid bed tax, and fines imposed for non-payment of bed tax, from the ‘Princess Dhonkamana’ safari which they operate. Ibnithasiu Musthafa has been ordered to settle his GST dues and the fines imposed for non-payment of GST.

The court decreed that Global Crown Pvt Ltd had to settle the bed tax dues of $2072 and fine amount of Rufiyaa 65,000 within 4 months of 25 January 2015. Court also ordered the company to submit the November 2013 Bed Tax Sheet of ‘Princess Dhonkamana’ within 30 days of the judgment.

In the case filed against Ibthinisau Moosa, the court ordered him to settle GST dues of Rufiyaa 70,125 and the fine of Rufiyaa 74,973 imposed for non-payment of GST as of 15 November 2014. This amounts to a total of Rufiyaa 145,098 that Ibthinisau Moosa was ordered to settle within 6 months of 25 January 2015.
