MIRA collects Rufiyaa 1.13 billion as revenue in August

MIRA has collected Rufiyaa 1.13 billion as revenue in August 2014.This is 53% more than the forecasted amount for this month. This amount is also 113% more than the amount collected in the corresponding month in 2013. The reason for this is that deadlines that usually fall on end on July were moved to 3rd August due to Fitr Eid holidays, and because lease period extension fee that had not been collected in August 2013 was collected during this period.

GST contributed the most revenue in August 2014 with a total of Rufiyaa 447.7 million. The second highest contribution came from BPT. A total of Rufiyaa 225.6 million was collected as BPT. Additionally, Rufiyaa 163.1 million was collected as lease period extension fee. Out of the total revenue collected in August, 46.51 million dollars constitute the dollar collection. This 63% of the revenue collected in August 2014.

MIRA has collected Rufiyaa 8.17 Billion as of August 2014. This is 26.4% more than the corresponding period in 2013, and 11.1% more than the forecasted amount for this period.
