In accordance with tax regulations concerning non-compliance, the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has published a list of 152 parties who had not submitted their Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Green tax returns up to the period of May 2025. Following the initial publication on 8 September 2025, 17 parties have since complied by submitting their outstanding GST and Green tax statements, reducing the number of non-Filers to 135.
Prior to the release of this list, we made multiple attempts to contact each of the listed parties through phone calls and SMS, notifying them of the overdue amounts and the potential legal consequences, including penalties, for continued non-compliance.
This measure forms part of MIRA’s broader enforcement policy, which ensures that appropriate action is taken against all defaulters without discrimination.
Taxpayers are urged to fulfill their tax obligations by filing returns and settling outstanding dues in a timely manner. Those unable to make immediate payments are encouraged to contact our team to explore options for installment arrangements or other mutually agreed settlement plans.
